Whitham, Neil: Singer of Songs, Teller of Tales

Description: Neil has entertained a 1000 times for children over the last 20 years. Recent performances include the Harold Washington Library in each of the last two years and Wrigley Field (for the players’ children) last summer.
Neil’s two most popular shows are BIRDS AND FROGS, DINOSAURS AND DOGS, and THE REAL WILD WEST (with Nebraskan Neil in full Western “git-up.”)

Author Neil (2 books, 50 plus articles for adults) also has a WHERE IDEAS COME FROM show (of children‘s songs and stories.) In another show, Neil blends songs and anecdotes for ages 8 to 80 for GRANDPARENTS’ DAY.

Neil alternates his originals (children immersed in) with well-known favorites that children can sing at the mics.

Other: THINGS NOT TO BE AFRAID OF featuring his “sound effect play” VamCRIER. Also: fun PATRIOTIC-HISTORICAL, and most holidays.

Availability: Seven days/week, day or evening.
Audience: Ages 2-12 is typical for libraries. Neil also entertains seniors 50 times a year.

Fees: $195. and up. Add $100. for outdoors. Travel considerations for longer trips. Fees may be lowered for two libraries, same area, same day.

Equipment: Outlet within 15 feet; table size of card table or larger.

Credits: Libraries-aforementioned Harold Washington Library each of last two years. Calumet City Library, Hodgkins Library, LaSalle Library, Justice Library (senior show), Bloomingdale Library (Grandparents’ Day), Also: Wrigley Field (players’ children), Bourbonnais KinderCare (4 years in a row), 100s of preschools, schools, park districts etc.
