Description: Watch out for the bear, the ogre, the mouse and the old fairy woman! Susan’s friends (puppets) often accompany her for family performances of lively, participatory, multicultural tales "...told with grace, heard with pleasure" (Booklist). Susan's theatrical background, as well as her twenty years of experience, inform her tales with presence and passion, infusing her programs with themes such as caring for the environment, the importance of compassion, and the necessity of laughter. She is, according to School Library Journal, "...An incredibly talented storyteller.” As an adjunct faculty member, Susan also teaches storytelling to teachers at National-Louis University. Her audio recordings have garnered a Parents Choice Gold Award; Gold NAPPA; Storytelling World Award. Workshops available for adults and children.
